Policies, Rules and Tidbits
Thank you for booking with us for the Harmonic House or Chucks Cabin. Please note that for all our guests, our employees and community members, health and safety is very important. We put this first during this unprecedented time. Therefore, we are following our local county guidance (San Bernardino County) for COVID-19 with regard to the operations and cleaning of the Harmonic House/ Chuck’s Cabin.

Call ahead, know what to expect
From business to business, you may find different guidelines and rules in place, so we urge you to be prepared by calling ahead. It is important to know what kind of enhanced cleaning and safety measures have been put in place, if face masks/face coverings are required, if you’re able to walk in or if services are limited to curb side pick-up. Calling ahead will allow you to be fully prepared. Our vacation rental staff, guests and management would have to follow the following for health and safety practices:
- Carry a face mask/covering with you at all times: While face masks and coverings are not currently required by San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, they are required to be worn upon entering the majority of our businesses in 29 Palms. Please plan on carrying one with you at all times and be ready to wear it when required. As part of our business safety measures at the Harmonic House, please wear a face covering if in contact with our staff and the neighboring community where the home is located.
- Continue to practice physical distancing: Whether you are out enjoying our public spaces, waiting outside a restaurant or shop for curbside service, or shopping at a grocery store, please continue to practice physical distancing and maintain a minimum of 6 feet of space between yourself and others.
- Please buy only what you need when you visit our grocery stores: When you visit 29 Palms to stay in at our short-term vacation rental, please buy only what you need when you visit our grocery stores. Cleaning and disinfectant supplies, hand sanitizer and toilet paper continue to be in short supply so please plan accordingly and bring what you can from home.
Stater Bros’ Market is currently open from 7:00am – 11:00pm daily, with a dedicated hour for our seniors on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:00am – 8:00am.
- Be aware of our revised housekeeping procedures: Due to COVID-19 our housekeeping rules have been amended. Hence no housekeeping will be provided during your stay. If you encounter a maintenance issue, we will evaluate if this is an essential service requiring immediate attention before we send a staff member to assist. If it is not essential this will be addressed once you check out. During our maintence, you would have to leave the home, or all occupants would have to be in one room while staff is correcting this issue.

For guests using Airbnb, VBRO, Booking.com and or any other third party used to make reservations the cancellation policy will differ as (third party contracts) may differ in cancellation time frames, and policies on respective digital platforms.
For guests making reservations directly with us, to cancel your reservation you must do so at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival date to receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled less than two weeks prior to arrival will forfeit 50% of their invoice (minus taxes and cleaning fee). Cancellations made within 72 hrs. before the arrival date will forfeit 100% of their invoice (minus taxes and cleaning fee). Please note that during holiday periods we have a 4-week cancellation policy. Look for further details on your invoice.
Any time from 3 pm to 9 pm call to find out about a check in later than 9 pm. Our goal is to make this process convenient for all. On the date of your check-in, we will contact you to provide information about the keys, meeting with you at the home, or make other special arrangements regarding your arrival and check in process. Chuck’s Cabin can only accommodate 4 occupants. Whereas, Harmonic House accommodates 5. The names of each guest should have been provided during your reservation.
Note: If you find any issues with the cabin upon arrival, please notify us at 760-401-1309 promptly before occupying the room. Either Ash or the Manager-On-Duty will rectify any problems right away. LOTUS G 2020 LLC, their management and staff, of Harmonic House, will not honor or be liable for claims regarding conditions made after you occupy the cabin.
Check-out time is 11 am. An additional day charge plus tax may apply for late check-out. Please text or call us at 760-401-1309 fifteen (15) minutes before checking out and we will pick the keys from you. Loss of keys and loss of the key-fob for the alarm system will incur a minimum $100 charge to replace locks and keys.
Although Chuck’s Cabin can accommodate 4 occupants including children and Harmonic House 5 occupants including children, all base rates are based on 2 adults, additional adults will be charged $25.00 per night per person per night.
We welcome families. Children under 6 years of age stay free with an accompanying adult.
If you are a parent or guardians of a child or children, you are personally and legally responsible for them. For this reason, you must supervise them at all times. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in the cabin or allow them to roam the property unsupervised.
NO PETS POLICY
We respect and value all our guests. However, due to safety and sanitary concerns, no pets of any kind are allowed on the premises. If pets are reported or found on the property, guests will be asked to leave the premises without refund. Service dogs defined by the ADA are exempt, however emotional support animals are not.
Parking for registered guests is free. All vehicles are parked at the risk of the owner. LOTUS G 2020 LLC, the owner/management of Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House shall not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated or parked on the property. No parking is allowed on the roadside or in-front of any neighbor’s driveway. If a vehicle is left in the parking lot after the guest has departed without our consent, we reserve the right to have the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.
NO SMOKING POLICY
Smoking of any substance including vaping, candles, incense, and essential oils (diffusing, vaporizing, etc.) are strictly prohibited in the house, and within 30 feet of the house. Smoking in the cabin will result in a $400 cleaning fee.
FIREARMS AND WEAPONS
Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House are private properties owned and operated by LOTUS G 2020 LLC. Therefore, the use of firearms and weapons is strictly not allowed. If you are permitted to possess a firearm or weapon by the law and bring such weapon onto our premises, it is for storage purposes only, with the understanding that you are personally responsible for the following:
1. You must abide by all Federal, State, and local laws.
2. Firearms and weapons must be appropriately registered.
3. Firearms must be unloaded.
4. No cleaning of firearms is permitted on premises.
5. Firearms and weapons must be safeguarded and secured in either a locked, hard-sided firearm container or a soft gun case provided by the guest at all times and clearly labeled with their name and contact information.
Guests who fail to abide by our policy may be asked to leave the premises without refund, are subject to trespass and may be subject to further legal action.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY OR FIRE
For your safety, Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. In case of fire or emergency, please dial 911, then notify us immediately at 760-401-1309.
DAMAGE TO ROOM
Damages to Chuck’s Cabin and/or Harmonic House including fixtures, furnishings, equipment, mattresses, bedding, towels, artwork, etc. will be charged at 100 percent of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges.
ACCESS TO ROOMS
LOTUS G 2020 LLC, their management and staff reserve the right to enter a room in incidences, such as an emergency, housekeeping, maintenance, verifying that the room, its furnishings, and equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a violation of our House Rules. In the event of suspected illegal activity, LOTUS G 2020 LLC, the property management and staff reserves the right to summon law enforcement to aid in eviction. The right to privacy ends when a House Rule is broken.
DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF PROPERTY
You are liable for any damage caused to Chuck’s Cabin and/or Harmonic House, and to premises of the property caused by you or any person in your party whether or not staying at Chuck’s Cabin and/or Harmonic House during your stay (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act). Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to the cabin or the property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting a specialist to make repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum. However, the charges made to your card are at the sole discretion of Property Manager Nalini (Ash) Maharaj of LOTUS G 2020 LLC.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House are privately owned and operated by LOTUS G 2020 LLC. We reserve the right to refuse service or evict anyone for any reason. LOTUS G 2020 LLC, their management and staff, of Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House has a zero tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by the State of California and the owners for the operation and management of our properties.
ILLNESS AND EPIDEMICS
The management of Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House reserves the right to refuse accommodations to a guest arriving with a contagious disease. Please notify us in cases where sickness occurs during the stay. In the case of serious sickness, you may be requested to receive appropriate health care from a nearby healthcare facility. During epidemics, we are entitled to employ precautionary measures within our judgment or as required by local authorities. We may charge you a room cleaning fee as we deem appropriate under the circumstances.
The cleanliness of Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House is extremely important to our guests. If you bring any infestation into your room or onto the premises, we may charge you for any and all costs and expenses, including immediate or urgent response requirements and loss of room revenue that we deem necessary to address the infestation.
ASSIGNMENT OR SUBLEASE
Guest shall not assign or sublease the Property or permit the use of any portion of the Property by other persons who are not family members or guests of the Guest and included within the number of and as permitted occupants under this Agreement.
USE OF PHOTOS & VIDEOS
Use of Photos, Videos, and Digital Images taken by a guest inside and outside the house is copyrighted by the artist, hence any photos, videos, m or digital images taken of the artwork either for commercial or personal use needs owner and artist permission.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING
The electrical panel and breakers cannot accommodate charging of electrical vehicles onsite of the property. Please DO NOT use the electrical outlets inside or outside of the home. Inquire about charging stations in the area.
These Cabin Rules are a part of our reservation agreement with you and LOTUS G 2020 LLC (owner/operator of Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House). Therefore, by completing your reservation you are agreeing to abide by all of our Cabin Rules, Terms & Conditions and Policies. Please review this carefully. In addition to the above listed cabin policies, following are the CABIN RULES:
RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS
We appreciate our neighbors and respect their peace and privacy. Therefore, this home is not suited for large groups, parties, or any function that would disturb the peace of the neighboring community. The maximum occupants we will allow are 4 (Chuck’s Cabin) and 5 (Harmonic House) registered guests including children.
Quite hours are from 8:30 pm to 8:30 am.
The individual cabins (Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House) on the adjoined property are off limits to the respective guests at all times…unless, you are one party that has booked both properties.
SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PRACTICES
Together with the City of Twentynine Palms, LOTUS G 2020 LLC supports sustainable tourist practices. Therefore, we emphasize that off-road vehicles are not permitted to be used on the property or the neighboring community. Please note the City of Twentynine Palms has rules on use of off-road vehicles stating they are not allowed in residential areas.
In keeping with Sustainable Tourism Practices, Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House follow these practices:
One (1) full set of linens (bedding and towels) will be provided for your comfort and convenience. For our environment, towels and linens are not changed unless you have booked your stay for 4+ nights, and have requested it. In this case, housekeeping would be happy to service your room on request.
LOTIONS AND BODY OILS
If you use any type of lotions, including sunscreens and body oils, please wash them off before contact with towels and bedding. These products are frequently difficult or impossible to wash off. A replacement charge for any damaged linens or towels of the cost will be deducted from the credit/debit card on file.
Our plumbing is on a septic system. Consequently, please do not dispose of paper-towels, tampons, sanitary pads, wet-wipes or baby wipes in the toilet.
CAUTION ON WILDLIFE & PESTS
The property is located in the desert, and like most residential properties in the region wildlife can enter the grounds of property. The grounds are surrounded by open desert so be mindful of your surroundings. Furthermore, you may encounter seasonal bugs and critters, hence, we advise keeping all screen doors in the house closed at all times.
LOST & FOUND POLICY
LOTUS G 2020 LLC, their management and staff assume no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings, and is not responsible for any item left behind by a guest. If you have left behind something of value to you, please call us immediately. We will help you in locating your lost item. Items found after you left the property by staff will be collected and kept in a secure location for collection for up to 14 days. We would be happy to return your lost item(s) to you upon request. Your credit card will be charged packaging and postage, plus a $15.00 handling fee. LOTUS G 2020n LLC, their management and staff of Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House are not responsible for any item lost or misdirected during shipment. Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries are discarded.
CHANGES TO HOUSE RULES
LOTUS G 2020 LLC, their management and staff of Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House reserve the right to amend, modify, change, cancel, or add to these Cabin Rules or the content featured on our vacation rental website at any time without prior notice. Please check our website regularly for updates to Cabin Rules. Any modification to these rules that occurs prior to your departure is considered a part of your reservation agreement with us.
Should you have a question/concern about any cabin rule, please call us at 760-401-1309. We require you to review the above Cabin Rules since you will be requested to sign in agreement to this at check-in.

Once your reservation is confirmed, LOTUS G 2020n LLC’s management will contact you on how and where to check-in to the properties. You can also call the manager at (760) 401-1309. The management of Chuck’s Cabin and Harmonic House does have a manual on the general operations of the home. Please inquire about this when you check-in.
RESERVATION GUARANTEE POLICY
- Guest must be 21 years of age or older (a valid government ID is required).
- To reserve your reservation, we require a valid major credit card (AMEX, Visa, MasterCard, Discover).
- Please be sure to obtain a reservation confirmation number when you complete your reservations.
- If you are booking on our website, you will be asked to provide your information to a third-party payment company, PayPal.
- Please note as part of your reservation, that you have accepted the policies and rules for the short-term rental of the Harmonic House or Chuck’s Cabin, owned and operated by LOTUS G 2020 LLC.
Rates are in United States currency, plus taxes and a city tourist fee. All online rates are subject to change due to seasonal, weekends and/or holidays per owner discretion. Rates are based on the type of accommodations, number of people, and are subject to availability. See Cabin Rentals for pricing and other details.
Chuck’s Cabin is subject to a $85 cleaning fee. Harmonic House is subject to a $110 cleaning fee.
NOTE: If the property is left in an unacceptable manor, the above amounts could increase.
Upon booking your credit card will be charged a $100 security deposit. If the property is left in an acceptable manner, this $100 will be refunded to you on check out.
To cancel your reservation, you must do so at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival date to receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled less than two weeks prior to arrival will forfeit 50% of their invoice. Cancellations on the day of reservation will forfeit 100% of their invoice. Please note that during holiday periods we have a 4-week cancellation policy. Look for further details on your invoice.
Should you not arrive on the scheduled arrival date per your reservation, your credit card will be charge the full amount of your reservation plus taxes.
MINIMUM STAY – 2 nights.
Should you wish to depart early, note that there will be no refunds for early departures.
